Week 7

Part 1

For our team’s final research project, we started by pitching ideas on how to best design the layout of our topic. To collaborate effectively, we used Discord as our main communication tool and a shared Google doc to organize our ideas. Everyone actively participated in brainstorming, and we ultimately decided on a four part video, with each team member covering a specific section.

The process went smoothly and it was easy for use to exchange ideas effectively. This structure helped us stay organized and ensure that each section flowed seamlessly into the next. Given how well everything came together, I don’t think much needed to be changed.

Part 2

This week’s readings and activities covered the importance of strong presentation skills and the impact of effective communication. One of the key takeaways was the importance of a well structured and engaging presentation. A successful presentation should have a clear purpose, be organized in a logical way, and capture the audience’s attention through compelling delivery. Production quality is especially important in video presentations, as it plays a crucial role in conveying the message effectively.

Exploring TED Talks provided valuable insights into both effective presentation techniques and fascinating topics. Some of the most engaging presentations used simple visuals and clear narration to break down complex subjects, making them easy to follow and understand.

Additionally, discussions on technological advancements highlighted the rapid growth of artificial intelligence and its impact on society. These innovations power everyday tools like search engines and recommendation systems, but they also raise concerns about automation’s effect on jobs and the economy.
